Highlights can keep selected Stories visible on a public profile after the original Story window. This tool works from a supported Highlight or Story-item link that identifies accessible media.

A profile URL or Highlight cover alone may not identify the individual photo or video. Start from the exact item link whenever Instagram provides one.

How to use the Instagram Highlight Downloader

  1. Open the Highlight item Navigate to the exact public Highlight photo or video you have the right to save.
  2. Copy the available link Use the share menu to copy the item URL. A profile link is usually not specific enough.
  3. Paste and find media Paste the URL above and select Find Media to check the supported source.
  4. Save the correct item Review the photo or video preview and select the matching download action.
Troubleshooting

Common reasons a link may not work

Only the profile URL was copied

A profile can contain many Highlights. Open the intended item and copy its specific share link.

The Highlight is private

InstaSnap cannot open private-account Highlights or use your Instagram session.

The item was removed

A creator can edit a Highlight at any time. Removed or restricted items are no longer publicly available.

The link identifies a cover, not media

A Highlight cover is not always the Story item. Move to the intended photo or video and copy that item’s link.

Is a Highlight the same as an active Story?

A Highlight is a collection of selected Story items kept on a profile. An active Story is time-limited unless the creator adds it to a Highlight.

Can I paste only an Instagram username?

Can private Highlights be downloaded?

No. The tool does not authenticate with Instagram or bypass profile privacy.

Why did a Highlight link stop working?
